Our Mission - Enriching transition support for Veterans and families, through education in the equestrian sports and horsemanship skills.
The JumpAhead program uses the calming and therapeutic properties of routine and mental and physical simulation, to give veterans a tranquil and safe space in which they can thrive.
Veterans at JumpAhead’s day program have a schedule that includes grooming horses, property maintenance, feeding all of our animals (including sheep, goats, and pigs), and participating in all aspects of farm life. Veterans at JumpAhead are in charge of the well-being of the animals on the farm, including 30+ horses. Participants learn all aspects of horse care and grooming all while connecting with these powerful animals and getting their minds off of the trauma that they have experienced.
